Reading and Writing for the December 2025 SAT

Saturdays 12:30 AM, Sundays 12:00 AM

Hello my name is Michelle, and I'm excited to work with you all! This is my eleventh SAT bootcamp and I've been tutoring at Schoolhouse for almost 2 years. I'm most excited to tackle grammar with you all, and I love teaching the complexities in identifying the purpose and main ideas of passages. I love listening to pop music and reading books, which unfortunately it's my Lit book right now :( I love baking and writing poetry in my free time. A weird fact about me is if I listen to happy music when I study I tend to get frustrated. If you see me with an elaborate book cover that looks like it cost an arm and leg (which it probably did) I'm trying to get out of a reading slump. This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Reading and Writing for the March 2025 SAT

Wednesdays 12:30 AM, Saturdays 12:30 AM

Hello, my name is Michelle P. This will be my tenth bootcamp teaching reading and writing. I love teaching grammar the most, especially questions about commas. However, I love teaching all the questions, and I find information and ideas the most interesting! In my free time I love to bake, write, and read. I'm listening to Evermore on Spotify at the moment. I hope to improve my communication skills. My goal for this bootcamp is to help you all understand SAT R&W better and have more confidence. See you at the first lesson! Just a reminder that if you sign up for this lesson you will actively participate and be expected to come to class every meeting on time and ready to learn! This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. Reading and Writing for the October 2024 SAT

Tuesdays 12:00 AM, Saturdays 12:00 AM

Hello, I'm Michelle P and I'm so excited to teach this bootcamp! This is my sixth R&W bootcamp and I'm also teaching a second bootcamp this October session. In my free time, I love baking brownies and cakes while listening to music. My favorite artists right now are IU and Gracie Abrams. Outside of school, I do debate and love writing science-fiction. My favorite part of R&W is Standard English Conventions, especially commas. However, I love all the reading questions, except the ones with tables or graphs. I hope to improve my teaching skills, especially when I teach specific skills or tips on problems. Please make sure you have time to attend most of the sessions to learn as there are only eight. I look forward to teaching you all! This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing.
