About

Hello my name is Michelle, and I'm excited to work with you all!  This is my eleventh SAT bootcamp and I've been tutoring at Schoolhouse for almost 2 years. I'm most excited to tackle grammar with you all, and I love teaching the complexities in identifying the purpose and main ideas of passages. I love listening to pop music and reading books, which unfortunately it's my Lit book right now :( I love baking and writing poetry in my free time.  A weird fact about me is if I listen to happy music when I study I tend to get frustrated. If you see me with an elaborate book cover that looks like it cost an arm and leg (which it probably did) I'm trying to get out of a reading slump.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Hello! I'm a high school student from California. In my free time, I love baking, reading, and watching Netflix. I love listening to music while I study (although it slows down my efficiency). I love pop music the most. At school, my favorite subjects are math, English, and band. I'm here to help peer tutor other students for the SAT. I hope to improve my communication skills with other students!

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You’ll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will wrap up with a Post-Test to help you see your progress from the first session.

We’ll spend time reviewing the post-test and all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we’ll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice!
