About

Hello! I'm a high school student from California. In my free time, I love baking, reading, and watching Netflix. I love listening to music while I study (although it slows down my efficiency). I love pop music the most. At school, my favorite subjects are math, English, and band. I'm here to help peer tutor other students for the SAT. I hope to improve my communication skills with other students!

Reading and Writing for the December 2025 SAT

Saturdays 12:30 AM, Sundays 12:00 AM

Hello my name is Michelle, and I'm excited to work with you all! This is my eleventh SAT bootcamp and I've been tutoring at Schoolhouse for almost 2 years. I'm most excited to tackle grammar with you all, and I love teaching the complexities in identifying the purpose and main ideas of passages. I love listening to pop music and reading books, which unfortunately it's my Lit book right now :( I love baking and writing poetry in my free time. A weird fact about me is if I listen to happy music when I study I tend to get frustrated. If you see me with an elaborate book cover that looks like it cost an arm and leg (which it probably did) I'm trying to get out of a reading slump. This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Thank you for the session Michelle! You were great at presenting your first onboarding session and reassuring me as a first-time tutor. I liked how you supported all of us when we had questions and you clearly knew the tutoring material.

Thank you so much for the session! It gave me a lot of ideas on how to teach subjects and keep students engaged.

She was really encouraging and fun. Furthermore, her explanations were very helpful and neatly organized. She showed commitment and intrest in the session. Helped me grasp the grammar really well, previously I was unsure of the topic but now I compleatly understand.
