Bienvenue! Interested in learning French, but don't know where to start? You're in the right place! From vocabulary to grammar, we'll cover everything that you need to know to begin learning the French language. We'll mainly focus on developing four main skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. But, learning a language isn't just about taking notes and memorizing grammar rules—interacting with the language itself is important! So, this series will be more activity/discussion-based than "lecture"-based.

Taking AP English Language next year? I'll be reviewing the tips that helped me get a 5 on the exam. We'll go over the MCQs and FRQs that you'll see on the AP Lang exam, and we can work through a variety of practice questions that'll help prepare you for your exam in May.

Embark on a journey through the past with our History Subworld's Community Event series! Each month, we will host a number of community based sessions. Join us for lectures, workshops, tours, games, and hands-on activities, and connect with the past in meaningful ways.

A space to share your writing and get feedback and peer suggestions! Each week will be the same format, and any (English-language) writing you want feedback on is eligible!

We'll go through the basics of learning how to crochet. By the end of this series, I'm hoping that each of us can successfully crochet a tote bag and donate crocheted baby hats to local hospitals/institutions!

Taking Precalculus next year? We'll be covering the most important things you'll need to know. I'm basing this series on the Glencoe textbook I used last year in Honors Precalculus. However, I'll skip some units to focus on covering topics that are emphasized on the AP Precalculus exam (which I got a 5 on, without studying, purely based on the curriculum in this textbook!). I'm going to be trying my best to make this series as interactive as possible! We'll be solving tons of problems together and you'll get a chance to share your explanations and methods with everyone.

This is a fun, friendly series with competition. Many of us here at SHW love to read, so we put book lovers in a close battle to see who can read the most books! The contest takes place over a three-month period in which you will set goals for your reading, explore new books, and meet new authors, all while facing a fun competition against other learners, tutors, and friends here at SHW. In addition to the competition, we will have sessions covering the lives of different authors, analyzing their writing styles, and learning more about them. We'll be reviewing content from each unit of the AP European History CED. At the end of the series, we'll do a review for each period. We can review the content through notes and by practicing the general skills needed for many of the AP History exams (MCQs, SAQs, LEQs, DBQs, etc). All are welcome to join! Hello Bakers! Welcome! Do you like baking? Have you ever wanted to share a recipe you invented? Do you want more people to try out your recipes? If you answered yes to any of the questions above, here's your chance. This is a Baking Contest right here at Schoolhouse, where you will get three days to come up with an original recipe (But you can get inspiration online!) bake it, give it a name, and take a picture and a video (of you explaining your desserts, and a sneak-peek of you baking it) of your dessert that you will then submit for the competition. There are no requirements to participate, just a love for baking. Six judges will look at all the submissions and decide which one is the best recipe! The rubric that judges will be using for the competition will be shared shortly after the orientation session, where more information will be given. 🤩The winners will receive King Arthur Baking Company gift cards, more info on that in the orientation session. We'll be reviewing 5 major topics covered in honours biology (cells, energy transfer, heredity, biological evolution, and ecosystem dynamics) in preparation for an EOC exam. At the end of the series, we'll have a mini quiz to test your knowledge and help you feel prepared for your upcoming exams! This series is tailored for Aadhya, but all are welcome to join. A weekly study session for students in various levels biology! This can function as a study group, homework help, or even as a session to teach you the basics that will help you as you progress through the course. I would recommend that AP Biology students check out the other series geared towards that specific subject.
