Hey there! I'm Joe, a rising college freshman with a strong passion for math, computer science, and education. I have been homeschooled all the way through high school and currently reside in Oregon, USA. I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful community! I'm here to learn what I don't know and teach what I do know! I can tutor in any math topic ranging from pre-algebra to calculus, with a particular enthusiasm for geometry and trigonometry. I scored 790 on the Math section of the SAT, so I'm equipped to help with SAT Math prep as well. In addition to being a tutor here at Schoolhouse, I serve as a Geometry Subworld Moderator and a Tutor Coach. I was previously an SAT Bootcamp Guide and a member of the Welcoming Team. For fun I enjoy computer programming, keeping up with tech innovations, playing chess, solving Rubik's Cubes, stargazing with my refractor telescope, playing pickleball, and hiking the scenic trails of Oregon. Hello, I am Joseph, a homeschooled high school rising junior from China PR, but I am taking a US program. I am one of the Reading and Writing Subworld Moderators and I also tutor Chinese language series. Field of Interests Academic: History, Geography, Stage Performance, Languages, Cultural Study. I am good at map study and have been trying to learn Hebrew, Dutch, and Italian; currently learning Spanish. Art: Ink pen drawing/sketching and gouache painting. Music: Proficient in Hulusi, a Chinese traditional flute, passed the top level in 2022; Dizi, the bamboo flute, has been learning for several months. I like to listen to traditional Chinese music, instrumental epic, and folk songs. Sport: Soccer, table tennis, swimming, inline skating. Big fan of PSG, Messi is the GOAT, and supports the French national team. Literature: A Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, Hobbit, The Hunger Games, Born a Crime, Assassin's Creed, Percy Jackson. Never read horror and sci-fi. Personality: ESFP-A. I am also a Ravenclaw. Color: Black, Midnight Blue, Forest Green, and Deep Purple, never give me yellow or pink! Hello, my name is Rohan! I am from New Jersey, and I am currently a high schooler. My goal on Schoolhouse is to help other students like me learn and be prepared for anything. My passion lies in machine learning (ML), and I have researched everything ML! (from model training techniques, hyperparameter tuning, and fine-tuning after the training process). Additionally, I enjoy software engineering on a broader level, with interests in competitive programming (USACO), web development, and efficiency with everything I create! During my free time, I am an avid videogame player, with multiple "Platinum" trophies on the hardest games of the decade. I have also played piano for 6 years and arrange my favorite video game tracks on piano (like "Escaping a Foul Prescence" from Ori 2, "Abyss Watchers" from Dark Souls 3, and "Final Battle" from Elden Ring as great examples)! Going outside the house, I play goalkeeper for my high school soccer team and I am a varsity swimmer.
