How to WIN Your Chess Games (Beginners Welcome!) ♟️♟️♟️

    Starts

**IMPORTANT - Please have or make a Chess.com account prior to the session** "Chess is a highly practical game played by humans, not computers" - CM Volen Dyulgerov (Witty_Alien). This is why it is so much more effective to have a human coach rather than just pressing Chess.com's game review and looking at your games for a minute. Reviewing your games, especially ones you lost, are an extremely effective way to improve your chess and win more games. This series is highly adaptive to wherever you are at. It's pretty informal and could be considered more of a club than a class. The session will open with a short activity/warmup, which may be something like a puzzle to solve. Depending on everyone's abilities, the session may cover simpler topics, such as how to play, how to checkmate, or opening principles. If those who join know the basics of chess, we can pair each of the attendees against each other and then do an in-depth analysis of the games afterwards. I am definitely open to any suggestions, so feel free to make them!

Math for the March 2026 SAT

Tuesdays 11:30 PM, Fridays 11:30 PM

Hello everyone! My name is Nolan and I'm stoked to help you all get better at Math for the SAT! I'm a high-school junior with a 770 math SAT score and I have been tutoring math at Mathnasium for a few months now, so hopefully I can use those skills to effectively communicate how to improve your SAT math game! This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.
