Taking AP Lang this year? Have no fear! (and make sure you notice that that rhymes). In this crash course, we'll cover the three types of essays you'll have to write for the AP Lang exam. We'll spend two sessions on each essay (and add extra sessions based on how much extra time we need). In each introductory session, we'll do a quick warm-up related to the essay we will cover, then I'll go through the rubric and the mechanics of how each essay works. After that, we'll look at some example essays and score them together, and then you'll be able to write your own essay as practice on your own time. In the second session for each essay, I'll provide feedback for the practice essays you wrote beforehand. Each session will be an hour long, and I'll add additional sessions if we need more time for practice or feedback.

We’ll work on skills needed for Honors English 2, including short answer response writing, annotating, literary analysis, and a little bit of poetry reading.

We’ll go over your practice test and identify strengths and what to work on.

A 1:1 series between Sreeja K and Megan L. We'll be focusing on extra practice and small tips for the reading & writing section of the SAT.

We'll go over the content needed to pass your exam, mainly British and European history.

We'll revise an essay for a class during our session today.

We'll look at an overview of the SAT reading & writing section and cover some foundational knowledge and skills.

We’ll meet every other day and quickly cover the most important concepts in US history.
