After the learner gets the question right, the tutor compliments him each time. Even when the learner was unsure about the answer or got the question wrong, the tutor did not explicitly point out the learner's mistake but instead smoothly made him correct himself. By doing so, the tutor was successful in creating a comfortable learning environment.

The tutor looked through the problem that the student brought. Although the tutor had never seen the problem before this session, he seemed to understand the topic behind it clearly and helped the learner understand the material smoothly.

Despite not explicitly engaging the learner at every time, the tutor was successful in bringing out the learner's engagement as the learner continuously spoke his thought process out loud. The tutor effectively used questions such as "Why do you think that is?" to make the learner explain their thinking. In regard to encouraging students to explain their thinking, the tutor is very advanced.

The tutor frequently checks for understanding by asking questions such as "What do we multiply first?" and follows up with hints and feedback. The session included active participation from the learner with questions and interactions that engaged them in the process. There were also moments where the tutor had the learner complete parts of the problem, which keeps the session dynamic and involved.
