Do you ever wonder how to take seriously wanting to go to college — but feel like school just doesn’t give you the tools you need to get there? In this Series, we’ll dig into how to build a support system that makes college prep a part of your everyday life. You’ll learn how AVID uses the WICOR framework (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, & Reading) to teach real skills like note‑taking, critical thinking, time management, and asking good questions. Through regular tutorials, motivational activities, and strong peer and tutor relationships, you’ll grow in confidence and discipline — and join a community of students who are pushed to take more advanced courses and aim for higher education. By the end, you'll understand how to harness your determination, set up sustainable study habits, and map out a clear path toward college that works for you.

We will meet thrice every week to improve our skills. As tutors, we will make sure you are caught up and have no problems with the content. We will have an office hours were you can come in and ask any questions you have about Reading and writing! Hope to see you there!
