Throughout the session, you encouraged questions, and asked your learner if they were understanding what you were saying which is a great way to slowly find out about your learner's level. Another thing I loved about what you did, was that after you and your learner had completed a problem, you didn't immediately rush to the next problem, and asked your learner questions to confirm if their logic is correct. For example, when your learner was attempting to answer a Prime vs Composite Number question, you asked them questions like 'You thought this number was composite because it is divisible by 2 right?'.
In my opinion, questions like these are one of the most important questions you can ask your learners not just because it is a great way to build engagement, but it asks your learners to explain their thinking in a way that will get them to remember the material better. Keep doing what you're doing!
