Throughout this session, Luciana's problems were definitely pretty difficult, both for Luciana and just in general. Therefore, Luciana showed a good amount of confusion when trying to solve the problems (EX. 18:54 mark where Luciana clearly states how she is confused with a part of the problem). However, it seems that Hannah is well-prepared and recognizes Luciana's struggles and able to help Luciana appropriately. For example, in the same moment where Luciana states that she is clearly confused, Hannah is able to reword her own explanation on solving the problem they were working in a way where it was more clear as to what Hannah was asking of Luciana (EX. Hannah turns her question more close-ended to where Hannah asked Luciana "How many 7x's do I have," which is much easier to find compared to the "how many 7x angles and negative 7x angles" Hannah asked of Luciana previously). Overall, Hannah's ability to recognize Luciana's signs of confusion in order to help her along with making the situation comfortable enough for Luciana to say out loud that she is confused shows an "advanced" level of "seeking to understand learners who exhibit signs of struggle. Additionally, with Hannah being able to reword her questions in a way that makes it way easier for SPECIFIALY LUCIANA to answer, it shows an "advanced" level of "adapting to learners' unique needs" by building off of the learner's existing knowledge to help answer a question, great job by HANNAH.

Firstly, I really like how in the first practice question that Hannah does, she gives a lot of instances for her student, Luciana, to engage. For example, when Hannah is reading out the first practice question at the 12:24 mark of the recording, Hannah continuously checks up on Luciana's understanding of the problem by mentioned some simple, close ended problems like "are these angles acute" and "what does the angle measure become when we add up the obtuse and acute angle" and ETC. This keeps Luciana actively engaged where she doesn't have any time to dose off or lose focus. Additionally, along with these simple questions, Hannah also gives Luciana the opportunity to solve the problem by herself while also guiding Luciana's problem-solving in order to find the correct conclusions. For example, at the 18:43 mark, when Luciana shares an answer she got, Hannah recognizes that Luciana made a slight error and encouraged Luciana to explain her reasoning for the answer. Then, after some hints made by Hannah, this allows Luciana to get directed to the correct answer as seen in the 25:39 mark, they have finally eliminated enough answer to conclude that "since the answer isn't B, the answer has to be A." Overall, with Hannah actively being with Luciana's side along with ALWAYS answering Luciana's questions whenever she was concerned, it shows a meaning engagement between the two, showing an "advanced" level of "engaging with the learner" by Hannah, so a very great job to her. Additionally, with Hannah giving plenty opportunities and encouragement to allow Luciana to solve and explain problems, this makes for an effective session that most definitely helped Luciana learn. Ergo, with the good back-and-forth discussion of problems with Luciana and Hannah, Hannah shows an "advanced" level of "encouraging learners to explain their thinking." Honestly, when looking at the entire session, I personally don't see anything wrong with Hannah's tutoring as she was very engaged with Luciana as well as giving Luciana an appropriate amount of time to think and do the problem by herself, So great job by Hannah.

First of all, it is great that Hannah is able to verbally greet Luciana in order to kick the session off with a good, engaging start, so kudos to that. Moving forward, throughout the session, Hannah was very supportive in the fact that she always sounded kind and never tried to make Luciana feel uncomfortable. Additionally, Hannah also gives a lot of encouragement to Luciana in order to make her feel more confident in solving a problem as well as making Luciana feel more comfortable sharing her confusion (EX. in the 39:44 mark where she reassures Luciana by telling her that she is, indeed, sort of "overwhelming you with information right now). Hannah even makes Luciana comfortable enough to a point where even Luciana blatantly mentions how "I'm confused (18:54)." Overall, with Hannah's excellent ability to make Luciana feel comfortable with her mistakes as well as some encouragement that helps Luciana feel more confident answering the problems shows an "advanced" level of "strengthening learners' confidence." Additionally, With Hannah being able to create such a friendly environment with Luciana where Luciana can freely express her questions and confusions (and even have a nice post-session discussion where they are talking about Hannah's SAT experience at the 1:16:04: mark of the recording and ETC.) shows an "advanced" level of "creating a comfortable learning environment." To conclude this peer review, I just want to say that this is probably the best showcases of advanced peer tutoring I've ever seen. I've mentioned in the previous Peer Review categories on how well Hannah shows the "advanced" level of criteria, and there really seems to be no major suggestions I can give for Hannah. So therefore, I just want to personally congratulate Hannah for doing such an amazing job tutoring, even I learned something from listening to the recording. I guess the only "suggestion" I have for Hannah is by greeting Luciana with her name in the beginning of the session (EX. 12:00 mark), but that is a really easy fix. Besides that, have a great time tutoring Hannah, AMAZING WORK :D

Over the course of the entire session, it seems that Hannah was already given the questions that Luciana wanted to go over. with that info, Hannah was able to use those questions in order to structure the session in an appropriate way. Throughout the entire session, Hannah and Luciana were always able to be working and engaging on the questions that Luciana provided, and with Hannah's adequate explanations of the material (ex. the 23:15 mark where Hannah is explaining how to use the equations to help you solve the question) along with Hannah actually reviewing the questions beforehand (EX. 12:30 mark where she mentions how she had to take some time before the session in order to understand the problem for Luciana), the entire session was very effective and helpful for Luciana. Overall, with Hannah being prepared for Luciana's questions, having been provided them and working on them before the session, there were no technical or curriculum issues that disrupted the session at all, showing an "advanced" level of "being prepared to run the session smoothly." Additionally, with Hannah reviewing Luciana's questions beforehand so that she could give Luciana correct guidance throughout the entire session along with making sure that Luciana understands the solution by encouraging them to explain (see Engages actively category of peer review) shows an "advanced" level of "conveying a deep understanding of the material."
