Hey everyone! We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2026 Schoolhouse Model United Nations (MUN)! Get ready for a journey into the world of international diplomacy, teamwork, and global problem-solving. What is an MUN and Why Participate? For those new to the concept, MUN stands for Model United Nations, where participants take on the roles of country representatives to tackle real-world global issues. MUNs are an amazing way to build skills in public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking while exploring international relations. About the Event The event will consist of opening and closing ceremonies, with training sessions for all delegates. There are four committees, with the details for each as follows: 1. WHO: Discussing the legality of medical advertisements made directly to consumers 2. UNGA: Addressing the security implications of cyber warfare and cyber terrorism 3. UNESCO: Addressing the Global Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Employment and Education 4. [Specialised Committee] NASA: Developing Human Safety Protocols for Space Launches, Voyages, and Reentry (Set in 1961) The event will take place from 20th to 22nd February, 2026, with a total of six committee sessions, each for one hour. Each delegate who attends at least half of the committee sessions will receive a participation certificate, and winners will receive certificates of excellence. The best delegates from each committee will also win Schoolhouse merchandise! How to Participate: 1. Register for the Main Series to join the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Training Sessions. 2. Get assigned to your committee and receive access to Committee Background Guides, Rules of Procedure, and the official MUN Brochure. 4. Register for your specific committee's series. 5. Prepare by reading the background guides, trainings, attending the training session, researching your committee’s agenda, and familiarizing yourself with the issue as well as your country's stance on it. 6. Attend and participate in the conference, engaging in discussions, drafting resolutions, and collaborating on innovative solutions. Delegates who participate in minimum three sessions will receive a certificate of participation, with certificates of excellence and awards rewarded to top delegates. Welcome to the United Nations General Assembly Committee sessions for the Schoolhouse Model United Nations 2026! Schoolhouse MUN is an online Model United Nations event organized by a team of volunteers from schoolhouse.world. Delegates will have the opportunity to represent different countries in six distinct committees of the United Nations. This experience will enhance their understanding of current world issues and improve their public speaking, collaboration, and leadership skills. Agenda: Addressing the security implications of cyber warfare and cyber terrorism. Chairs: Aadiv S and Dylan Overview of the Committee’s Agenda: Cyber warfare and cyber terrorism have transformed cyberspace into a new and unpredictable battlefield, where a single line of code can disrupt hospitals, paralyze economies, or undermine democratic institutions. These threats transcend borders and blur the line between war and peace, as both state and non-state actors exploit anonymity to carry out attacks with limited accountability. The growing dependence of societies on digital infrastructure means that cyber attacks no longer affect only governments, but directly endanger civilians and global stability. To confront this challenge, the international community must move beyond fragmented responses toward collective action. Delegates are called upon to actively engage in shaping clear norms for responsible state behavior, strengthening international cooperation, and supporting capacity-building initiatives for vulnerable states. Through meaningful dialogue, innovative resolutions, and a shared commitment to upholding international law in cyberspace, this committee has the opportunity—and responsibility—to safeguard global security in the digital age. 🎮 SHW Community Game Night is a recurring hangout where we play a few fun, interactive games together and switch up the theme each session to keep things interesting. We’ll usually play 2–3 games (like Kahoot, Skribbl.io, Gimkit, or Blooket), sometimes with custom content made by our team. The goal is just to relax, try something new, and spend time with the community. At certain sessions, we will be giving out SHW merch to winners! Come once, come every time!
