This creates a warm environment and a personal connection. :D The student seemed super comfortable around you seen by her laughing and striking up small talk about tutoring. You consistently gave words of encouragement, such as "Perfect!", which in turn allowed the student to feel more confident in her ability to solve similar math problems.

When it came to this particular session, there was not much need to engage the learner, as she was already speaking a lot and explaining her struggles. But it does show that she felt comfortable to good job with that. But when she was a bit confused, you were immediately able to help her and asked her questions within the problem to see her understanding. That stood out to me and you did a wonderful job in this aspect as well.

Great job on consistently asking great questions and making sure the student was following along without being confused! When teaching the difference of squares, you would relate it to the question being discussed. For example, in the question 36c^2 -84cd +49d^2, you asked her what value "a" could represent. Tying the question to what you discussed brings everything together and definitely helps the learner understand the material better. Instead of giving the learner the answer, you walked her through the steps with questions such as "How will we write it?" to guide her when necessary.

The tutor had material already prepared, including various questions about angles that provided a great base for the session and targeted it to a specific subject. There were no major hiccups in the lesson, and it ran smoothly with great explanations from the tutor and the tutor and learner. The tutor did a good job at explaining the content as he was able to help her figure out certain questions she was confused on, and clearly knew how to do the problems presented. I would work on preparing more varied questions so she can practice the same concepts in different problems.

This was a 1 on 1 session, so adapting to the learner's needs is crucial to run a good and smooth/ helpful session. You did a wonderful job letting Morgwen take control of the curriculum which she needed to be covered and let her share her screen to show her what SHE wants out of this session. It may be didferent from other learners' needs, but you quickly adapted to her unique goals and were able to run a session that she learned something from and that she found very helpful. Whenever she felt a bit stuck, she said it herself and you were quick tontine the struggles. You immediately started explaining the concept and quizzed her to check her deeper understanding of the material as well. Great job in all of these categories this session was amazing!
