Over five sessions, we will brainstorm, design, prototype, build, and deploy a portfolio website (using my projects as an example). First, we will discover a popular framework for creating websites called Svelte. It's kinda like if you could combine HTML and JavaScript, without the messiness of React :D Next, we will discuss ways to make our website unique and personalized, such as incorporating 3D elements and implementing special effect interactions. Lastly, we will publish our site on GitHub Pages. You will learn how to navigate GitHub, create a repository, and initialize a GitHub Pages deployment.

Hi! In this series, we will create animated short explainer videos with code. The Motion Canvas library gives us an easy and intuitive way to create animations and preview them.

In this series, we will use JavaScript to programmatically build an animated video to explain programming to new learners. Note: we are using the ideas we built in the last series, called "Building a Coding Course". You did not have to go to that series to attend this one.

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a traditional series. The end goal is to build a video that introduces new learners to programming in an effective, engaging manner. All learners are welcome; if you have programming experience please consider joining! The purpose of this series is to work together with others and consider everyone’s perspective to create the best explanation for new coders. If you have no experience with coding, don’t worry! Just by listening and asking questions, you will get a head start on your coding journey :) The series is split into five parts: 1. Brainstorm - collect all of our ideas 2. Storyboard - organize and order our ideas 3. Prototype - start to build scripts / animations 4. Build - start to build what will be the end result 5. Finalize - finish step 4 and clean up audio/video quality and effects As of now, there is one session dedicated to each part. However, we will not move on to the next part without finishing the part we are on, even if it means adding more sessions after the first five. In this three-session series, we will create and deploy a website with a 3D interactive experience. We will use JavaScript and the Three.js library to build out the application. I'd prefer if you had some programming experience, but if you do not and want to listen in, that is also fine :) Skill level: intermediate

Instead of working on my projects, we will work on your projects! Please restrict projects to things involving: - JavaScript (NodeJS or Browser) - Python - Unity/C# - Godot/GDScript If nobody has a specific project they want to work on, then we can talk about any programming concepts you might need help on :)

There is a month-long Khan Academy contest that together we will make entries for. Language: ProcessingJS

Over the course of four sessions, together we will create a game in Godot 4.

Whether it’s making a program from scratch, solving puzzles, or improving upon a previous work, we will write code together. All skill levels are welcome.

Learning by doing! Once a week, I’ll code Processing.JS sketches with you guys - our goal is to make one finished program by the end of each session. All skill levels are welcome!
