March SAT English: Your Plan for a 1500+

    13th session

The SAT follows the same patterns every time. If you want to learn those patterns and score at least a 700+ on the English section of your next test, then join this 2-month series! I scored a 1520 on the SAT last October and am an SAT Prep Senior Tutor on Schooolhouse. I'm more than happy to help out with any questions you might have. - We'll cover every single type of question you'll see on the test using the official SAT Question Bank. - Attendance is optional. Join whichever sessions you think you'll find most helpful. - Join anytime! - Both native and non-native English speakers are welcome to join! - During the session, I'd appreciate it if you could communicate with me exclusively in English! Hope to see you there!

What worked well: Gauging Confidence: You started the session by asking for students' confidence levels and time spent per question. This allowed you to tailor your pacing to the group's specific needs. Student Explanations: You frequently invited students (Rania, Adam, Junwei, etc.) to explain why they chose an answer. This "Socratic" method is the best way to ensure they aren't just guessing. Direct Messaging (DM) for Answers: You used a great technical trick by asking students to DM you their answers so they wouldn't "spoil" the question for others.

Thank you for sharing! As a British A Levels student, it's often hard to get resources for the SATs which aren't overly boring or cost a huge premium!

What worked well: Humanizing the Material: By admitting that you also didn't know what "boundaries" were when you started, you made the material feel less intimidating for the students. Encouraging Environment: You were very patient with name pronunciations and consistently thanked students for their participation, which kept the energy high even when the questions got tricky.
