Genesis Bible study

    Ended Thu, Oct 16, 2025

Each Thursday at 3:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) we will go over the book of Genesis for about an hour and a half. We will mainly discuss what we think about what specific portion of scripture means, how we can apply it to our lives, and evaluating doctrine established in the book of Genesis. Please note that I am not a theologian nor anyone with a degree or certification in Biblical studies. I am studying Genesis on my own since the non accredited Bible studies program that I am in is not currently studying the Book of Genesis. I hope that this will be both edifying for our mind and souls and I am excited to have you here! Some materials you need are a Bible (any translation is good, but preferably ESV) and a notepad (both either physical or virtual) I do use a lot of resources from blueletterbible.org just a heads up.

Intermolecular forces and properties

    Ended Thu, Sep 11, 2025

Hello! If you are reading this, you may be someone interested in learning more about the following topics in Chemistry: intermolecular forces, properties of solids, solids, liquids, and gasses, ideal gas law, kinetic molecular theory, deviation from ideal gas law, solutions and mixtures, representations of solutions, separation of solutions and mixtures chromatography, solubility, spectroscopy and the electromagnetic spectrum, electronic transitions in spectroscopy, and Beer-Lambert law. These are all the topics that will be covered in our meetings, each being 3 hours long and once a week. Meetings will be held Thursdays at 3:30 P.M. EDT (Eastern Daylight Time). Furthermore, I will also be posting sessions as we go along the way. You only see 2 sessions now because as the series progresses, more sessions will be added according to how the class and I feel concerning moving forward. Once all topics have been fully covered and reviews have been done, I will end the series. Meetings will be broken up as following: 5 minutes waiting for late learners and icebreakers sometimes 25 minutes reviewing content or material from last session. For the first session, this will be substituted for getting to know the learners better and smoothly transitioning into the main topic of the session 1 hour and 30 minutes discussing problems whether that is through Khan Academy, Quizzizz (now called Wayground), or a mix of both (I tend to use the AP Chemistry quizzes on Khan Academy to guide discussion). The remaining hour will be used for Q&A, homework assistance, or practice AP Chemistry FRQ’s and MCQ’s relating to atomic structure and properties. For homework assistance, please refrain from sharing any personally identifiable information on the document in question. This includes your school’s name, teacher’s name, your full name, or your school’s address. Documents can be shared via Zoom chat. In addition to this, please comply with all rules pertaining to Schoolhouse.world policy. While I intend for this series to be for anyone interested in Chemistry, I do use a lot of AP Chemistry material. I highly recommend that everyone who joins has taken Algebra 1. An adequate foundation in algebra and algebraic thinking is necessary for intermolecular forces and properties. AP, IB, or whatever program (or no program) in chemistry is welcomed here. Background on myself: -5 on AP Chemistry -Self studied a majority of Organic Chemistry 1 in the past -I have been studying Chemistry for about 2 years

Atomic Structure and Properties

    Ended Fri, Oct 3, 2025

Hello! If you are reading this, you may be someone interested in learning more about the following topics in Chemistry: Moles and molar masses, empirical and molecular formula, percent purity, combustion analysis, mass percent, mixtures, mass spectrometry, electron configuration, periodic trends, and valence electrons and ionic compounds, and PES (photoelectron spectroscopy). These are all the topics that will be covered in our meetings, each being 3 hours long and once a week. Meetings will be held Mondays at 3:30 P.M. EDT (Eastern Daylight Time). Furthermore, I will also be posting sessions as we go along the way. You only see 2 sessions now because as the series progresses, more sessions will be added according to how the class and I feel concerning moving forward. While I intend for this series to be for anyone interested in Chemistry, I do use a lot of AP Chemistry material. I highly recommend that everyone who joins has taken Algebra 1 or at minimum has knowledge in SI (International System of units) conversions, manipulating algebraic expressions and equations, using significant figures, using scientific notation and using percentages. This part of Chemistry is a lot less math heavy so feel free to join my series, even if you don’t have a lot of math experience. (Note: However true the math part is, a notoriously difficult topic for people who are new to chemistry is electron configuration… I can testify from my own experience. For this reason, it may also help to have knowledge from a physical science class about electrons in atoms as well.). Background on myself: -5 on AP Chemistry -Self studied a majority of Organic Chemistry 1 in the past -I have been studying Chemistry for about 2 years

AP Chemistry Summer Prep

    Ended Mon, Jul 21, 2025

Please read: Hello! The following sessions are designed to help students strengthen their knowledge concerning topics presented in AP Chemistry (e.g. structure of atoms and compounds, reactions, and calculations concerning specific reactions (***equilibrium especially!)) and allow them to prosper in the following school year. We will be meeting four times a week and for approximately 2 hours (3 hours if necessary). The first couple of sessions may be shorter. While I will openly address that the following sessions do not cover certain things about AP Chemistry (e.g. concepts that would be better learned in person at a lab such as Beer's law), they are meant to hopefully allow you to learn and/or further develop skills that may or may have not been obtained in a prior chemistry class. It is highly recommended that you have taken or have been exposed to high school level chemistry (following topics: electron configuration, moles, and molar mass are very vital). I hope to look forward to learning with you this summer, thank you. 👍 Important notes/exception to the above No sessions will be held on the week of July 28th. Please study during that time (I recommend Khan Academy). This series has been extended to August 16th for the sake of more reviews and study time. August 16th is the "final" or mock AP Chemistry exam. For August 14th (session 25) and August 16th (session 26) the time of meeting will be modified to 4:00 P.M. due to school potentially starting, however this may change at the host's discretion. Please be aware of such modifications (I will send alerts in the group chat). The week of August 11th has been greatly modified concerning the typical Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday schedule. Meetings for review will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Saturday is the mock AP Chem test/Final.
