About

Hi everyone! I'm Kianna, a high school junior in Southern California and 1580 SAT scorer (780 Reading/Writing, 800 Math)! I am so excited to help others (specifically for the SAT) and gain certification in other subjects! I understand the frustration, time commitment, and laborious effort it takes when studying for the SAT because I have experienced it myself when improving my score from a 1420 to a 1580. Self-studying for 7 months has been lethal (not even exaggerating), but in the end it all pays off and I know it will for you too.

I really love teaching others, and I have a good grasp on both important test-taking strategies and subject concepts. Additionally, I've scored 5s on all the AP classes I've taken and I am currently taking 6 AP classes (pray for me), so you'll be in great hands!

In my free time I enjoy cooking and any outdoor activity liking hiking and skiing. Food is the way to my heart, especially Pho and Pad Thai! I also love skiing when it's winter (and yes skiing > snowboarding). Anyway, I wish you all of luck in your learning journey—I hope I can be a part of it along the way!

4 PART SERIES: These strategies that I developed myself are unconventional and unique, but were the SOLE REASON I go a 780 in English. You showed your expertise right at the start! Of course, you studied for a whopping 7 months and you're a qualified tutor, so I cannot doubt that you're well-prepared to teach. I love how your analysis was focused on the "why" and "how" things work to create a broad overview of how to answer SAT questions than just the specific question you were targeting. I really like how your slides were super well thought out; you included different types of words in context questions, which is insanely clever and something I would never think about :-) By doing so, students were able to benefit from learning how to target individual types in a pretty broad category. I noticed that this is one of your first sessions, and I am super impressed! You're awesome and have an immense passion for tutoring that I rarely see :D
