As I mentioned, your clarifying asks to the student were really effective at understanding how well the student was comprehending the material, so awesome work. You asking those constant questions also helped to tailor the learning to the student, since it was directly aimed at exactly what they needed to understand. And of course, you also understood that the student had a test, and you helped them prepare for that situation very well.

You consistently had the student explain their thinking and often asked probing questions to guide them through the problem, so amazing work on that. Also, asking things like "does that makes sense", which you did, was extremely great for clarifying if you needed to slow down or explain more.

You constantly were very kind and understanding, even if the student got a question wrong, you would correct them in a nice way. That really helps in creating a comfortable learning environment. Also, you telling good luck to the student for his test was a small thing, but it really was a nice gesture and it demonstrated that you did really care about the student.
