In this session we will be discussing and exploring the topic of colonialism and imperialism. We will aim to answer questions such as what is mercantilism? What are modern implications of historical events? Specifically, we will be using examples of French colonization in North Africa during the 19th-20th century. This topic is pertinent to many courses, including AP Human Geography, and AP World History. Through discussions, you will be able to better structure FRQ responses and overall engage as a global citizen.
