You did an excellent job explaining the concept of an asymptote. A great way to think about it is to use the difference in degrees in the terms and visualize it as a "dotted line." This way you show your learners that the function can never approach that value. You also ask questions asking M the steps leading to the answer, which is useful before you followed up at the end, explaining how you can find the HA using the coefficients, which is a great way to follow up.
