Hello! My name is Sharon V and this series will cover every single thing I wish I knew about being a premed student and applying to US medical schools! I will go through all of my high school and university coursework, study techniques for my premed classes and the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test), and clinical and laboratory experiences! I will also be covering some foundational content review for the MCAT as well as an application timeline (from university to the application cycle!) This series will align with the Khan Academy MCAT course which I think provides the best content for new learners! Please note that I am a US applicant planning to apply to US medical schools, unfortunately I am not familiar with the process/requirements for international applicants!

Introduction to Biochemistry Series

This series will be an introductory course to biochemistry! This topic is especially important because it will allow you to have a foundational understanding of the molecular basis of life! This series will align with the Khan Academy MCAT Biochemistry course which I think provides the best biochemistry content for new learners! This series will primarily be lecture-based with some practice problems in each session! I hope to prepare future healthcare professionals and researchers with this series!

Hi! I'm Sharon and I recently graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology, Immunology! This summer I plan to teach as much of the AP Biology content I can!

When I was in high school, AP Biology was my first exposure to learning how to design experiments, interpret data, and study the biological processes that preside over living organisms!
