This College Admissions Workshop on The Essay is a virtual 4-week workshop designed to provide you with structure and support to write your college essays this summer. In this workshop, you will: - Learn the purpose and the must-dos of the personal statement - Learn and practice strategies for picking a prompt, brainstorming, drafting, and revising your writing - Understand the role of supplemental questions and strategies for organizing your questions and responses - Work alongside other students who are also preparing to apply to college.

This College Admissions Workshop on The Application is a virtual 2-week workshop that will provide you with information and support to submit your college applications. In this workshop, you will: - Learn the purpose of each part of the application - Understand how and when to apply and strategies to consider when making your plan - Complete drafts of frequently required parts of the application, such as lists of activities & experiences, and honors & awards - Work alongside other students who are also preparing to apply to college.

We are piloting a new model to help you reach your learning goals! * This series is for you if: * You have set a goal for yourself in Khan Academy (ex: to complete a unit test or get a certain score on a practice quiz) and would like to receive extra support from a community of tutors/learners to reach that goal! We would love to have you join us in trying out this new Learning Lab format! * How will the model work? * Approximately 10 learners and 3 tutors will work together in a Khan Academy Learning Lab series. Learners will be working on their independent goals in a team environment and will receive targeted 1:1 support from the Tutor Support Trio that will be assigned to the series. * Example: One learner's goal might be to complete Pre-Algebra Unit 1: Factors and Multiples and another learner's goal might be to score 90% on the Percent Word Problems quiz in Pre-Algebra Unit 5. * The Tutor Trio roles will rotate each session. There will be one Main Room Tutor (acting as emcee and helping to direct learners for 1:1 support) and two 1:1 Support Tutors (providing targeted 1:1 support to help learners with specific content questions and also general learning strategies). * Sessions will run for 90 minutes per week.

Hi everyone! In this series, we will go through topic based sessions and practice with real SAT Math questions. Office hours will be available! Some topics to review: - Circles (formulas, question format) - Triangles (proofs, rules) - Probability (general rules) - Quadratics (graphs, quadratic formula) - & more! My qualifications to tutor: - I received a 750 on the math section back in March. - I have practiced with many different strategies, and I now know the proper SAT study strategies that make effective use of your time! - I've tutored 2 full SAT bootcamps, as well as general tutoring online and in school, and have decided to make my own series based on what I learned. - I love math and would love to help you all do well on your next SAT!! More sessions will be added as the series goes on, and we will review based off of learner suggestions! :)
