Physics is hugely applicable to all areas of study: it involves an appreciation of the natural world and its beauty, and it promotes the skills of critical thinking alongside problems solving. In practicing contest physics, we gain newfound insight regarding the world around us and develop crucial abilities important to any domain of study. The primary focus of this series will be the PhysicsBowl, which is the premier physics contest that is accessible to anyone around the world. Hello everyone! Counting and probability are essential components of mathematics -- it is pretty much guaranteed to comprise significant amounts of any math contest! However, in my experience, it is rare to see an advanced and in-depth study of counting in curriculums. Herein lies the goal of this study group: to introduce everyone to the strategies of solving problems of this sort, and to develop the skills to apply these strategies in the unfamiliar situations we are sure to run into in any math contest. Learners in this series can expect: a) regular sessions beginning with content from the AoPS book and later delving much deeper into the fascinating world of math b) real math contest questions thoroughly explained, with a focus on developing our problem solving skills when faced with a new problem c) plenty of fun and interactive group problem solving sessions d) question and answer periods -- dedicated times or at the end of sessions -- for individualized support Feel free to send me a message if there are any questions or requests for content to be covered. The purpose of this series is to explore how the mathematics of vector and coordinate geometry are hugely important instruments in math and physics problems. Those who are interested can expect fun and challenging problem-based sessions on vectors and coordinate geometry in 2D and 3D. Hello Everyone! This will be a series which focuses on the AoPS book "Introduction to Counting and Probability". Sessions will be organized by topic, with each session starting with a simpler opening problem, then going over the tools to tackle more advanced problems. This means that different sessions should not range too much in difficulty -- rather each session with start off simple, then quickly become more and more challenging. We will decide on a schedule as a group, and then sessions will be added.
