Thank you for this session! I learned a lot about trig.

It was clear that your learner was very comfortable asking questions, expressing confusion, and making mistakes around you which is a great sign. They never seemed to try to hide their reasons for confusion, and you did a great job not being harsh on your learner and being very encouraging. The interactions between you and your learner were nice, respectful, and focused as to the session's goal. It was clear that the environment you set up allowed your learner to build up confidence much quicker because they were comfortable in expressing doubts, and concerns.

You did a great job with showing up to the session prepared to tutor and asking your learner what they'd like to do as a start. Your analogies and examples were great, and you were always ready with back-up examples to explain the concept to your learner better. Additionally, your explanations were very clear, and you always talked over each and every step to explain why you did that step and it's outcome. The session transitioned smoothly and you never once told your learner the answer, and instead helped your learner find the answer using questions from pre-existing knowledge. Great work!

Thank you for explaining the concepts way better than the videos I also like the way you approach some problems as well. This session helped drill the concepts really well :D

Although Tanmay expected learners understand the review question concepts, he adapted very quickly when he noticed Marachi and Priya may not have been exposed to the,, ensuring that both of them grasped the material by asking followup questions and giving hints without giving them the answer. Well done!

Tutor · 2 mo. ago

Tanmay consistently engaged learners in all questions, asking many followup questions, particularly with the first question about csc, as well as the second question about the limit of a rational function, making sure learners were following along and grasping all concepts. It would have been impossible for a learner to multitask in these conditions. Great job, Tanmay; this was one of the most engaging sessions I've seen!

Due to your ability to bring the student to do a given practice problem while being with him and to be open for any additional questions that come from the student, you were able to help remove any missing areas in the mindset of the student, which is beneficial for the student in the future when he approaches specific questions that were seen in this session. I also noticed that you made an effort to give an explanation would try to answer all of the future additional questions that the student may have had.

You were able to show that you were ready for this session by remembering to help a corresponding student with a set of questions that he mentioned from a previous session and then making a transition to your selected topic (for the session) with practice problems from a website. You were able to show a lot of understanding of the information for the student's set of questions and the questions you mentioned for your selected topic (for the session).

Precalculus is so EASY! You guys teach way to great...

Between rate your feelings on a scale of cat and your Desmos activity all ready to go, it is clear you guys put a lot of thought into preparing a really fun and interactive learning experience. You also have a deep understanding of the material and really know how to present a concept well to a group. You ensured everyone got a quick revision on the algebra 2 background needed to move forward. Awesome stuff, I don't know how you could do any better!

Appreciated your enthusiasm for the topic and good explanations

You always used your learner's pre-existing knowledge to explain certain problems which is a fantastic way to make it click. You always used a consistent pace, and tone which allowed your learner to adjust and learn in an environment that wasn't too fast or too slow. You did a great job with creating a space for learners to express confusion about certain problems so you could restate what the problem was asking.

This session was one of the most highly-engaging sessions that I have ever peer-reviewed. Throughout the session, you always let your learner have a chance at solving problems on their own. Whenever they made a mistake, you intervened, but never gave the answer right away, but just pointed in the right direction. Whenever a learner was solving a question, occasionally, you asked them to explain their reasoning as to why they think their answer is correct so you can properly see if they are solving the question as intended. Specifically at one point in the session early on, the learner got the correct answer but solved it incorrectly. You asking for the learner's reasoning allowed you to catch the mistake and explain what went wrong.

Tanmay is a very nice and interactive tutor! He taught me a lot about hyperbolas well and in depth.

Thank you so much for teaching this course in a clear and well-structured way. The explanations and practicing the concepts were helpful. I appreciated the pacing and the opportunity to ask questions.

Learner · 2 mo. ago

Tanmay consistently demonstrated patience and actively created a comfortable learning environment to learners exhibiting signs of struggle, encouraging them all to participate and made sure to correct their mistakes with encouragement, as well as celebrating their accomplishments. Moreover, he started off the session with a cute cat mood self rating activity, setting up a comfortable and casual environment where learners felt encouraged to participate. Hats off, Tanmay!

Great teacher! Love the analogy of the roads to sets :)

Learner · 2 mo. ago

With the provided questions from the student and the questions that you gave from your selected topic (for the session), you were able to bring the student to the given practice problem while you were able to be open to any additional questions that were provided by the student. Specifically, I want to highlight that you were able to make the student go through the questions that he gave from his side (at the beginning of the session) instead of going through all of the steps for the corresponding questions.

Thank you so much for all your passion for math.

Learner · 2 mo. ago

Thank you so much! I appreciate the time you take to explain each and every concept with all of us. Also, Kudos Tanmay, because it is amazing that you are doing multiple sessions to reach everyone! I also really liked the road analogy for sets so we could understand better. Great teacher :)

Thank you for being patient and explaining everything so well. I really appreciate how when I was confused or didn't understand something, you helped me without making me feel bad. I learned a lot from your session and look forward to the ones coming up!

Learner · 3 mo. ago

I love rate how you feel today on a scale of cat. That is such an ingenious way to encourage learner interaction! I would have never though of it. Your learners also seem really comfortable making mistakes and asking you questions. Great job greeting everyone as they entered the session! Overall, you've created a very positive learning environment. It's super impressive!

THANK YOU! You are 1000000000000% the best tutors on planet earth!

Learner · 3 mo. ago

Even though the learner was completely new to the topic, I liked how you encouraged them to participate and answer questions while teaching them entirely new concepts. Keep it up! This also ties into encouraging the learners to explain their thinking. While doing the questions towards the end of the session, I appreciated how you guided the learner when necessary but ultimately allowed them to solve the questions. Great job!

Tutor · 3 mo. ago

Thank you so much! It was really great learning about truth tables and you explain many concepts very clearly and nicely.

Learner · 3 mo. ago
