4 Week AMC 8 Bootcamp
3rd session
Hi! We are so excited to help you guys with the AMC 8!
The AMC 8 is a national American middle school math competition that challenges students with creative, multiple-choice problem-solving questions. This bootcamp is led by experienced instructors who are AIME qualifiers and former high scorers on the AMC 8. In this AMC 8 bootcamp, we’ll focus on four major areas—number theory, geometry, counting & probability, and algebra—through lots of interactive practice with AMC-style problems. Learners will work through past questions, share solution strategies, and learn tips for spotting patterns and avoiding common traps. Expect to stay actively engaged by trying problems on your own, explaining your reasoning, and collaborating in group discussions and guided walkthroughs.

Linear Functions BOOTCAMP
4th session
This session is for people who want to ace all areas of linear equations/functions. We will start with slope, then go on to types of linear equations, and then get into graphing. Questions will be asked to foster critical thinking and deepen understanding of the concepts. By the end of this series, you will master all areas of linear equations and also fully grasp the concepts. Prior knowledge required is the basics of what functions are (their definitions), a good foundation on what the coordinate plane is, and the ability to solve variable equations.

Timing: Approximately 5 weeks
You will explore exponent rules as an extension of geometric sequences and the properties of multiplication and division for real numbers. You will make sense of exponent rules and not simply memorise them without understanding how they arise. The series culminates in you investigating how exponential functions can model physical phenomena that exhibit a constant multiplicative growth. Exponential functions are framed as multiplicative analogues of linear functions. Thus, a tight connection will be drawn between these two classes of functions and their shared properties.
ENDURING UNDERSTANDIGNS
You will understand that ...
- Properties of exponents are derived from the properties of multiplication and division.
- An exponential function has constant multiplicative growth or decay.
- Exponential functions can be used to model contextual scenarios that involve constant multiplicative growth or decay.
- Graphs and tables can be used to estimate the solution to an equation that involves exponential expressions.
KEY CONCEPTS
- 1: Exponent rules and properties
- 2: Roots of real numbers
- 3: Sequences with multiplicative patterns
- 4: Exponential growth and decay

Algebra 1 Foundations: Practice!
6th session
Welcome!
This tutoring series is designed to guide students through the core concepts of Algebra 1, using the Khan Academy curriculum as a guide. We'll transform confusion into confidence and equations into exciting puzzles to solve! 🧩
What We'll Cover:
This series will systematically explore the essential building blocks of algebra. 🏗️ Sessions will include:
The Foundations: Solving equations and inequalities, and understanding how to use them to model real-world situations. 🌐
Working with Graphs📈: Mastering linear equations, functions, and systems of equations by visualizing them on a coordinate plane. 📉
Advanced Functions: Delving into sequences, exponents, and quadratics to see the power of algebraic patterns. 🔝
How You'll Engage:
This is not a lecture! Sessions are designed to be highly interactive and supportive. 🤝
Live Problem-Solving: We'll work through problems together in real-time. I'll share my screen, and you'll follow along, solving problems with me.➕➗
Q&A and Collaboration: Stuck on a concept? This is the place to ask! We'll have dedicated time for questions and collaborative discussions where you can learn from your peers.✖️➖
