The tutor keeps the tone conversational and makes sure the the learner does not feel like she should give up and all hope is lost even though things are going to be a bit tough for her since she is going into her senior year. He does this by saying that "And honestly, you got a couple of chances left still, so I wouldn't say everything is lost right," This keeps the environment judgement free and strengthens the learners' confidence because he makes sure that the learner does not feel defeated or lost.
