You have a friendly, welcoming tone! This can especially be seen as Bitanya first entered the Zoom meeting. I like how you greeted her by her name, and asked follow-up questions like how she was doing. By maintaining friendly conversation like this, you are able to develop connections, allowing your learner to participate without the fear of judgement. I also appreciated how you praised Bitanya when she got questions correct, and consistently asked if she had any questions after each problem she was struggling with. This is a great way to build your student's confidence, while also ensuring that they truly understand the concepts you are teaching. You're doing really well, Ryan! Keep up the good work!

It's really great that you shared your screen throughout the session because visuals can be incredibly helpful for learners to follow along and understand better! I thought it was especially helpful when you annotated on the screen. You clearly have a very strong understanding of calculus and seemed to be exceptionally well prepared to run this session.

You did a really good job of engaging Bitanya throughout this entire session! For example, when you were walking her through the eDNA problem, I like how you gave her time to solve the problem herself, allowing her to struggle with the problem and only seek your help when she truly needed it. Not only this, but you did a really good job at asking her to explain her thinking, as you questioned why she chose one option over the other, even when she got the question correct. In doing this, you are creating an active learning environment, which is crucial in reinforcing your learner's understanding! This is what keeps students coming back to Schoolhouse rather than simply watching a YouTube explanation. Keep up the good work! :)
