About

I live in Washington State (and I’m a senior in hs), which means I enjoy hiking, coffee, books, and the PNW vibes. Camping is a must, as is the nature prints I do in my free time. I love matcha and feminism, but I am NOT performative. I love learning and teaching Japanese Culture and also the Language, as it is a dream of mine to do Japanese in the future! As a final note, I love learning why things happen and how they came about, so honestly all of History is interesting to me (I may also like Calc, but am not a full STEM girly, mostly humanities).

You demonstrated a strong understanding of Japanese folklore and cultural history. Your explanation of Yokai and how they influenced modern media, like Pokémon, showed great insight and made the lesson relatable. Your visuals, such as the Baku images and Pokémon comparisons, made the content engaging and easy to understand. The analogy comparing Yokai to Grimm’s fairy tales worked very well. To make the session even stronger, you could include a short interactive activity or discussion at the end to reinforce key points.

You were very well prepared and organized throughout the session. Your slides were clear, visually engaging, and followed a logical order that made the lesson flow smoothly. The pacing was steady, and transitions between topics like Japanese printmaking, Yokai history, and specific folklore examples were seamless.
