There is definitely evidence that your learners made progress over the session. While some of the practice problems were quite difficult, the learners felt comfortable to ask clarifying questions that exhibited their understanding, such as "so -b/2a gives you the x-coordinate of the vertex?". These types of questions during the problem made it clear that the learners were understanding the material correctly.
