About

Hey y'all! My name is Mason and I am from Canada! I'm a university student studying International Studies, currently in the process of law school admissions and the LSAT.

I am a journalist, published author, movie binger, history fanatic, and politics lover. It is my goal to bring my passion for learning to the classroom and spread lots and lots of knowledge! In my classroom, you aren't just a learner, you are my engaged peer. Schoolhouse.World has been my home since 2021 and I can't wait to continue to do what I love --- teach.

Canadian Politics 101 🇨🇦

    7th session

Want to learn more about Canadian politics, ay? 🇨🇦 You're in the right place, bud! In this interactive course, we'll explore how Canada runs - from Parliament Hill, to protest signs, and historical context. You'll learn about political parties, what the Prime Minister actually does, the details behind the parliamentary system, how laws are made, and why Canadian provinces act like siblings who don't get along. Whether you're from Canada or from another country and are curious about how democracy works in other parts of the world, this course will help you gain an understanding of global politics. Plus, you'll discover how Canada is a whole lot more than maple syrup and friendly people. Join us for an awesome series. I promise, it'll be worth your time. :)

Thank you for this interactive lesson, it has helped me continue reading in the summer :). My big brother told me to read this book, but I never picked the book up until now, and I am intrigued to know what happens next.

Thank you for this session! It was really neat to see multiple rebuttals to the SOTU address. Thanks for having me write my own speech, too! You always make these really fun!

These sessions are the best part of my week! Thank you so much for discussing swing states and districts with us. I've learned a lot about American (and Indian) politics and history. I'm excited to learn about Canada, too!

Thank you so much, Mason! I really enjoy and look forward to these sessions! You do a great job analyzing the strong and weak points of campaigns without being too political, and you include the little details that give me a deeper understanding. This series has also pushed me to improve my political abilities as I craft campaign elements. Thanks for being so funny and letting me talk and laugh over you when you're actually trying to teach us things! Maybe this series will be the reason I'm a successful opposition leader one day! :)
