You were really friendly and open throughout the session, which definitely helped create a comfortable learning environment. Maybe introduce yourself a little at the beginning of the session including your qualifications to be helping in venn diagrams to increase the learner's confidence, but your learner seemed comfortable throughout the session!

Hi Mark! Welcome to schoohouse! It was good how you started each topic by asking how familiar they were with said topic. Your questions were specific and you used them to tailor the lesson to fit their needs and level. You could have also asked how they would like the session to be paced. When going over the questions together, it was good how you had them explain their reasoning. The class was very interactive with active participation from both of your learners. Coupled with this, it was clear the learners were making progress. For most of the session, you worked on practice problems with the learners together. To get a better idea of your learners progress, you could have given them more problems to solve on their own.

Good job using questions at the beginning of the session to gauge how much the learner knew about venn diagrams! Maybe use more open ended phrasing like "How much do you know about venn diagrams" or "can you tell me what you know about venn diagrams" to make sure the reader feels comfortable admitting what they do and do not know currently.

For Elijah, he verbally expressed his understanding and his responses improved over time. For Sylvana, her answers to your intermediate questions were all correct. She now understands graphing logarithmic questions.
