Autodidactism: How to be a student, and your own teacher! + Study Skills
Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to see so many of you interested in this!
CO-TUTORS
I am not the only tutor who will be leading the series. G Tarun has been doing most of the brainstorming with me, and as the series goes on we expect the format to lean more towards discussion with other tutors and learners joining to talk.
WHO CAN BE AN AUTODIDACT
Self-directed learning has very little to do with the actual material you are studying, so it doesn't matter whether you are advanced or in a traditional school environment or studying for exams. This is us sharing the skills on how for you to manage your own learning, not what to learn. Anyone and everyone are welcome!
A FEW EXAMPLE TOPICS
The science behind how your brain learns best (and worst!). How to find a community of like-minded learners. How to use active recall and cycled practice while studying. How to build your own curriculum and stick to it. Our experiences & self-directed learning journeys and what we have picked up along the way
Expect fun slides, rambled discussions, Pomodoro timers, and the occasional pet popping into the camera frame!
