Thank you for the help in SAT math again! I love being able to have fun and goof around, but also make progress in those units! I appreciate how you're able to have fun with me while tutoring but also guide us back to working. Great ratio of fun and learning. 😂 Also, I loved naming our calculators too. That was pretty funny. It’s always fun being tutored by you, Joe. 😄 We’re able to be productive (I still can’t believe we finished half of the unit and took the unit test from the previous unit), and still have fun which I think is an important balance. Also, your sessions give me a sense of accountability for myself, and I literally go back to Khan Academy and redo everything we’ve done together in order to ensure I’m okay with everything and don’t need any extra help. I don’t think I’ve done this for any other session I’ve attended with someone so thanks for making me feel accountable (?). 😂Anyway, thank you for making these sessions lively (I literally do look forward to each and every one because I get to learn about all sorts of things— mathematical or not). I appreciate it a lot, and see you next time! 👋🏼

It was interesting to learn about the requirements to be a planet! I never knew there were a set of guidelines to be planets and just accepted planets to be planets, but these guidelines changed my perspective on that!

Your explanations were clear and concise, and you even made the session fun and engaging. I appreciate the time and effort you put into making this catch-up session happen, especially since I missed one class. I want to highlight how patient and understanding you were during our session. You never once made me feel like I was asking a silly question, and you explained everything so well that I felt confident in my understanding of the material. Even when I struggled with some of the basic concepts, you were able to help me make the necessary adjustments without ever making me feel bad for making mistakes. JJJOOOOEEEEEE! Thank you so much for your help today. I really had a lot of fun learning MATH of all things, which is just absurd to me. Thank you for taking me seriously when I asked for baby steps, and actually starting with the first unit. I honestly thought that you may have wanted to skip over it because it’s from the very beginning, and so I was truly shocked when I saw that you decided to start with it and listen to me- that meant a lot. Also, you’re literally one of the MOST talented people I know. We love a multi-talented king. Good for you, Joe. I really enjoyed talking to you about math, and things aside from math that you were passionate about. It’s ironic because when I went into the session, I felt like really sick and exhausted but coming out of it, I’m very energized. You have a very lovely (so polite too) personality, and you’re just overall one of the best people and tutors I know. Oh, and I just remembered- I really didn’t feel embarrassed even once throughout the session so thank you for making me feel comfortable like that!
