Top-tier tutor and alot friendly. I really recommend her

Despite your admitted tiredness, you have a kind and patient energy. You were really good at giving Ahtisham praise for getting the correct answers, and reassuring him through sympathy when he was confused with certain problems. It may seem small to you, but simply being kind and friendly is a great way to encourage learners to further participate, as well as spark their motivation to learn. You were also very kind and understanding when Ahtisham opened up about the problems he faced with his phone. Just by expressing your sympathy and being there to listen, you help learners feel heard and appreciated. Good job, and keep it up for future sessions! :)

Hi Jagani! To start off with laying the foundation, you have all the right tools (google slides, pictures, practice questions, and annotation tools) to make your 1:1 session with Ahtisham as smooth as possible. It's a small note, but I really like the template that you used! I find that using clean and fun slide templates is a great way to organize the lesson, and it's made clear to the learner that you put a lot of effort into preparing their lesson. In addition, you showed a very deep understanding of the SAT Reading & Writing material. This was not only seen through your explanations and walk-throughs of the problems, but also through the initial slides, which detailed the type of problem you were dealing with and tips on how to solve it. Good job!

Jagani clearly displays a strength in laying the foundation for teaching. She is prepared to run the session smoothly, as she introduces the topics she will cover during the session at the start. Her slides are informative, featuring nice visuals that allow students to focus and take notes easily. She also does not read directly off the slides and can adapt easily. She conveyed a deep understanding of the Reading and Writing portion of the SAT when she explained the concepts appearing in the practice problems thoroughly, ensuring the student understood.

Thanks for taking the time to explain every problem as many times as needed

you have a lot of back-and-forth talk with your students; it isn't just a beat of silence waiting for their commentary and then continuing to explain. you keep them very engaged and make it almost like an open discussion!

You did a really good job at adjusting to your learner's needs this session! One example of this can be seen through when you repeated the Command of Evidence slides for the learner, who wasn't present for the initial run-through. In addition, you were patient, and gave extra explanations when the learner needed more help on a question. One last example of your adjustment skills being shown was through asking the learner what types of questions he would like to go through, instead of strictly following the lesson plan you prepared. Being able to adjust in situations like these is a great skill for a tutor to have, especially during a 1:1 session where personalized help is expected! I also liked how you provided extra SAT study links to the learner, allowing him to fill in any learning gaps or get practice outside of the 1:1 session. Keep up the amazing work!

You did a good job at engaging your learner throughout the entire session! For example, on the second practice question, I liked how you explained your reasoning for option A before asking your learner to walk through his reasoning for the other options. This is a great way of not only teaching your learner, but allowing him to apply the teachings to get the answer on his own. I also liked how even after he got the correct answer on this question, you asked for the reasoning behind why he eliminated an option. By doing this, you are able to further reinforce understanding behind the correct and incorrect questions, which is much more useful than mere explanation. Great job!

When Ahtisham joined late, she was patient and explained the topic of the lesson. Jagani seeks to understand the learner's circumstances and struggles because she is always willing to clarify the learner's confusion. For example, when Ahtisham asked for help and an explanation of the answer, Jagani willingly explained the answer step by step, patiently. To add on, when she sees the learner struggling, she tries to give hints and tips to adjust to the learner's needs. She also makes sure to explain the answer differently if the learner is confused, showing a clear strength in adapting to the learner's needs.
