About

👋 Hey there! My name is Jaelyn, and I’m a dedicated tutor who’s passionate about helping students.

🧠 I’ve personally experienced the challenges of struggling with academics, so I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your grades and academic performance aren’t where you want them to be.

📃 Because of this, I approach tutoring with patience, trust, and encouragement—I know improvement is possible because I’ve been there too!

💻 I have extensive experience tutoring both online and in-person, across a wide range of subjects and grade levels.

🤝 I enjoy adapting my teaching style to meet different learning needs, and I believe that clear explanations, consistent support, and a growth mindset make a huge difference!

✨ My goal is to help students build confidence, master concepts, and feel proud of their academic progress—no stress, just progress.

📚 If you’re looking for someone who will help you grow, I’d love to work with you!

Reading and Writing for the August 2025 SAT®

Mondays 12:00 AM, Sundays 12:00 AM

Hi, my name is Jaelyn, and I'm really excited to help you prepare for the SAT! I have experience in taking the Digital SAT and will use my knowledge to help you all achieve your goal scores. This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Jaelyn demonstrates strong flexibility and care throughout the session. Rather than rigidly presenting advice, she tailors her responses based on the tone and content of each anonymous reflection. For example, when one reflection is more of a personal story than a request for help, she acknowledges that and still draws out broader meaning for the group, connecting it to their own experiences. She adapts by including SAT resouces after hearing a request for them, and even sares a personal score progression, adding credibility and relatability. When a student like Adeniran contributes unexpected insights, she pauses the lesson plan to fully engage with his ideas, then incorporates his message into her own. This shows she’s not just resonsive—she’s actively weaving in others’ input and shifting curse when needed. Her blend of flexibility and leadership helps the session feel dynamic, supportive, and deeply personalized.

Connection is clearly a strength for Jaelyn. She doesn’t just read reflections—she responds to them with empathy, validation, and encouragement. In discussing the first reflection about health challenges, she expresses genuine dmiration and compassion: “I’m really proud of this person… I respect this person.” Her language humanizes the writer without exposing them, and she expands the conversation to include strategies and shared experiencs. Her openness about her own struggles and solutions—such as her SAT score journey—helps position her not just as a facilitator but as a peer navigating similar stressors. Additionally, when students like Adeniran share, she listens fully and reiterates their points to highlight shared values like prioritizing mental health.
