It was great that you started the lesson with a review check-in, asking learners if they could recall what a qubit is before diving into the new material. This is an excellent approach to ensure that everyone is on the same page and that no one is falling behind.
I also noticed you made a consistent effort to check for understanding. You didn’t just move forward with the lesson, you asked multiple times after key explanations if specific concepts made sense. This showed your awareness of learners' needs and allowed you to adjust as necessary. For example, when Ahmed mentioned feeling confused after your explanation of the CNOT gate, you immediately asked him which part was unclear, giving him the opportunity to pinpoint the confusion. You then provided a targeted clarification, which was very effective.
Although the lesson had more of a lecture/presentation format, where it can be easy to fall into autopilot mode and lose track of learner engagement, you did an exceptional job of continuously checking in with the learners. You ensured they were following along and that they felt comfortable asking questions. That’s a really key skill for maintaining an interactive and supportive learning environment. Well done!
