AP Calculus AB/BC Summer First Three Units Overview
Hello everyone!
In this series, we will go over the first three units plus one single topic from the fourth unit of the AP Calculus AB/BC curriculum:
Unit 1-Limits and Continuity
Unit 2-Differentiation: Definition and Basic Derivative Rules
Unit 3-Differentiation: Composite, Implicit, and Inverse Functions
The single topic in unit 4-Using L’Hospital’s Rule for Determining Limits of Indeterminate Forms
Feel free to ask me to cover additional topics from other Units!
This series will start on July 4th and it will last for about a month, with 3 classes per week and 90 minutes per class. The class dates are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday of each week. This series is meant to cover the content of the first three units of AP Calculus. We will go over important theorems, and formulas that it is covered in an AP Calculus class. We will also tackle AP styled questions so that you will be comfortable answering AP questions regarding these topics. This series is meant for people who just finished Algebra II or Pre-Calculus and plans to take AP Calculus AB/BC. That being said, after the completion of this series, you'll be fully prepared for your AP Calculus class next school year. Please look at the class dates for more description on the topics covered each day.
Additional notes: There will be a quick warm up question each lesson to refresh our mind about last lesson's topics. I will assign homework each lesson via google form but you DO NOT need to do it, it is on you if you feel like you want more practice. If you choose to do the homework, you will receive your grades back from google form. There will be a unit test for units 1 and 2 plus a final exam on ALL of the units. Once again, you do not need to do any test if you do not want to. The tests are there just for you to know your current understanding about the topics.
Have fun!
