Asking specific questions to the learners such as "do you struggle in specific domains" ensured that Evan made an active effort to acknowledged his learner's challenges. He also personally agreed to many of his learner's difficulties which built an empathetic and comfortable learning atmosphere. Phrases such as "How about you guide me through what you would do for this question". allowed his learner to actively engage and helps identify conceptual errors. This quality is exceptionally impactful!

His annotations are clear and concise making it easy for learners to follow his work process and makes his overall teaching style more effective. He uses key words specific to the SAT read and writing course which better helps his learner grasp smaller but important details. He reinforces practical tips throughout the session such as "process of elimination" or educated guesses that helped his learner's train of thought/working.
