What is Model UN? Model United Nations (Model UN or MUN) is more than just a student activity—it’s a global movement that turns classrooms into diplomatic arenas. It all began in the early 20th century as simulations of the League of Nations, and after the founding of the United Nations in 1945, it evolved into what we now call Model UN. The first official "Model United Nations" conference was held at Swarthmore College in 1947. At its core, Model UN is an educational simulation where students take on the roles of UN delegates. They represent countries or organizations, research global issues, debate policies, and work together to draft resolutions—just like real diplomats. It’s a crash course in international relations, public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking. But what makes it truly compelling is the transformation it sparks. Students don’t just learn about the world—they learn how to shape it. Many alumni of MUN have gone on to careers in law, politics, international affairs, and activism. Whether you’re speaking across time zones or perspectives, every session is a chance to map new ways of seeing the world — and yourself. A summer series of casual philosophy conversations where we explore life, meaning, people, and those questions we rarely say out loud. No homework, no lectures - just honest talk with curious minds who don't claim to have the answers. Each session dives into one deep, open-ended question - like "What does it really mean to be happy?" or "Why do we care so much about what others think?" - and leaves space for whatever thoughts come up. No philosophy experience required. Just bring your curiosity, and open mind, and maybe a little wonder. Come with questions. Leave with more.

This series was originally created for Luna Y, but everyone is welcome to join. Since it started as a 1:1 setup, any additional learners will be joining a small, relaxed study group. We'll be covering the full geometry curriculum over the summer at a fairly fast pace - so come ready to learn and keep up! A few things to note: - There’s no fixed schedule just yet. As more people start attending regularly, I’ll begin planning sessions based on everyone’s availability. - I highly recommend doing extra practice on Khan Academy and taking notes during sessions. Geometry is one of those subjects where practice really does make perfect. - To keep things smooth and fair for everyone, please try your best to attend consistently. If you miss more than two sessions without letting me know, I may have to remove you from the series just to make sure the group can stay on track. Totally understand that life happens - just communicate with me and we're good!

This mini-series is designed to help you review the trigonometry topics commonly covered in Geometry as you prepare for finals. We’ll focus on the two main areas where trig shows up: - Right Triangle Trigonometry – understanding and using sine, cosine, and tangent (SOHCAHTOA), solving for missing sides and angles, and applying trig to real-world word problems. - Trigonometry in Non-Right Triangles – using the Law of Sines and Law of Cosines to solve triangles that aren’t right-angled, including ambiguous cases and word problems. We’ll focus these topics with step-by-step explanations, guided examples, and practice time - additional help sessions can be added if needed (depends on my availability) **Disclaimer: expect this to be a pretty fast pace - this should be review for you; you are also expected to the know the basics to trig

This is a geometry help series that will go on throughout the 24-25 school year. You may come with any questions/problems you need help on. Make sure to come prepared as these sessions are expected to be engaging. Bring any materials you might need such as a paper, pencil, or calculator. This series is ran based on my availability so I'll host sessions whenever I can. Note: Make sure to come with homework or a specific topic you need help on. As this is to help people, I don't have back-up plans or a course to teach. Disclaimer: These Q&A sessions are just for basic geometry like a regular honors high school geometry course. Any topics more advanced than that I will not be able to cover. Examples include trigonometric functions, differential geometry, algebraic geometry, etc. If you need help in those areas, consider going to the Algebra 2 or Calculus subworlds or ask for 1:1 help with a more experienced tutor.

Trigonometry is arguably one of the hardest topics in geometry to understand but this series will cover everything you will need to know!
