AP US Gov Summer Prep with a 5-Scorer

    3rd session

I scored a 5 on the AP Gov exam and now I'm teaching you everything I wish I knew sooner. If you really want to understand the material (not just memorize it), this is for you. We'll go through key concepts, Supreme Court cases, and skills like argument writing and FRQ strategies. You'll leave with a stronger grasp of the course and how to approach the exam. Disclaimer: This isn't full course - just a preview of all the essentials of the course.

    Thursdays 5:00 PM

Step into a space where curiosity crosses continents. In this biweekly summer Dialogue Club, you’ll connect one-on-one with students from around the world to explore ideas that shape how we live, think, and relate — from climate change and free will to culture, conflict, and everything in between. Whether you’re speaking across time zones or perspectives, every session is a chance to map new ways of seeing the world — and yourself. Attend 3+ sessions to earn a Dialogue Portfolio you can submit with your college applications to our university partners.

The Socrates Club 🌿

    4th session

A summer series of casual philosophy conversations where we explore life, meaning, people, and those questions we rarely say out loud. No homework, no lectures - just honest talk with curious minds who don't claim to have the answers. Each session dives into one deep, open-ended question - like "What does it really mean to be happy?" or "Why do we care so much about what others think?" - and leaves space for whatever thoughts come up. No philosophy experience required. Just bring your curiosity, and open mind, and maybe a little wonder. Come with questions. Leave with more.

Otherwise, you'll lost a lot of time if you choose to compete, so we recommend attending a different session if you can't make it within that timeframe. - Ties are determined by submission time, but please don't submit tests too early! Please contact the hosts, and we'll make an exception for you to compete twice. Can I compete in both divisions? No. You can only take one test, at one time. If you take more than one, we'll use your comparatively lowest score across all tests taken. What safety measures are being taken? For testing dates July 19th and onward, we're implementing an extension on the form that will detect tab changes. For the July 18th session, there was a bit of a mix-up and only about half of participants were proctored. Google forms was still gathering some other data, so we'll manually search through that! Can I submit an appeal? Questions and solutions are posted on the 21st. If you find an issue with any solutions, please let us know between July 21st-25th! If an error is found, we'll give everyone points back. The Competition Anyone can join and compete in the 25-question 60-minute AMC style competition. The twist: every problem is a geometry problem. Difficulty will range from AMC 8 to early AIME, so we welcome you to join regardless of your competitive math experience! Top scorers will receive: - A $25 AoPS gift card (to 4 winners) - A personalized certificate - A shoutout from the Geometry subworld - A full access licenses to Interview Cake's coding + interview prep course (to 50 winners) Other prizes: - The top 25% of scorers will also receive certificates. - All participants (and our fantastic competition volunteers) will additionally be entered for a SHW merch raffle! What is Model UN? Model United Nations (Model UN or MUN) is more than just a student activity—it’s a global movement that turns classrooms into diplomatic arenas. It all began in the early 20th century as simulations of the League of Nations, and after the founding of the United Nations in 1945, it evolved into what we now call Model UN. The first official "Model United Nations" conference was held at Swarthmore College in 1947. At its core, Model UN is an educational simulation where students take on the roles of UN delegates. They represent countries or organizations, research global issues, debate policies, and work together to draft resolutions—just like real diplomats. It’s a crash course in international relations, public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking. But what makes it truly compelling is the transformation it sparks. Students don’t just learn about the world—they learn how to shape it. Many alumni of MUN have gone on to careers in law, politics, international affairs, and activism. Whether you're a seasoned delegate or a curious newcomer, MUN is a powerful way to understand the complexities of global diplomacy—and to find your voice in the process. Want to include this in your judge invite or use it for something else?
