David was very kind and respectful from the start, he prioritized pronouncing the student’s name correctly and reassured learners they didn’t need to apologize for mistakes or confusion. His tone was consistently warm and encouraging. Phrases like “Very good job,” and “You are doing great so far,” boosted confidence and helped create a supportive environment.

You had a strong plan for the session and presented the material in a way that was easy to follow. You opened with a clear overview of the Reading and Writing section, explaining how the modules work and what learners should expect on test day. Your explanation of the “Information and Ideas” category and your approach to each question type showed that you had a deep understanding of the material. You also walked through the logic behind each answer choice, not just pointing out the correct one, but explaining why others were wrong. This helped reinforce important strategies and gave learners a better sense of how to think through questions on their own.

Throughout the practice problems that all of you (as teachers) gave, all of you were able to get the student to learn the Math content from the SAT Exam while making the student feel that she was in the SAT Exam, which allowed to increase the level of engagement from the student. Furthermore, you were able to get the opportunity to understand the student's perspectives for a given practice problem that was able to help you change your teaching style accordingly.

Your explanations were clear and concise, and you explained the same problems with different numbers to reinforce your learner's understanding. You were also prepared to explain all of the questions with which your learner had trouble. There were a few moments when you had to backtrack and re-explain your thinking, but overall, you demonstrated a good understanding of the content and a strong ability to convey that understanding to your learners as well.

David adjusted his teaching pace and selected questions based on Angkur’s comfort with advanced math. When a student struggled, he slowed down, offered support, and introduced a targeted mini-lesson on factoring. He also offered multiple solution strategies (ex. plugging in values or using Desmos), catering to different learning preferences. These are excellent signs of adaptive instruction.

I really liked how you had lots of practice questions ready to go, as that shows you are prepared and willing to help your learners! You also mentioned lots of underlying concepts, which helps display your understanding of the content. Nice work writing down future concepts to go over as you went along as well. Due to the number of practice problems where all of you were able to give the student the opportunity to solve the practice problem by herself while explaining her perspectives, all of you were able to develop a comfortable learning environment where the student can increase her level of confidence for the purpose of being ready to take similar situations of the topic in the future by herself.
