Thanks for all

Thanks for being interactive and open to questions! :) It was also fun and enjoyable.

You guys demonstrated excellent adaptability by immediately pivoting the lesson based on student-expressed needs and technical constraints. First, Basra brought up difficulties with complex graphing and systems of equations and Aanvi acknowledged the difficulty and used a graphing calculator (Desmos) to visually explore the student's exact confusion (lines connecting at one point). Second, when the planned lesson's algebraic equation component was too abstract (the exponential example with the beads), You both smartly adjusted the focus back to the core skill of identifying the pattern rule and using it for prediction within the table, successfully using two detailed word problems (the study group minutes problem was a linear pattern, the beads problem was an exponential pattern). You both also handled the technical difficulties amongst each other and Flora's chat-only communication. This is clearly demonstrates the of your flexible management during the Zoom session.

Hansika, I like how before you started with the lesson, you checked up on specific learners who came to office hours and made sure that it went well! I also noticed that you asked if anyone had questions before the lesson even started--great way to make sure no one is falling behind. There's a very friendly and human aspect to the way you lead the session, especially when you said "we, as co-hosts, try to do our best"--it's very reassuring--or when you joked about your pinned tabs. You also did a great job being patient with Diego as he was trying to get the access code without making him feel like he was slowing down the class.

Thank you!! My schedule is a lot less about what my friends are taking and more about what I want to take!!

Great session today! I really enjoyed the beginning where we were able to cover the notes - that was tons of fun. I really enjoyed the simulation. The mnemonics you provided really helped, but for chemistry, physics, and math problems, seeing the equations or learning the concept would be nice, so I could answer similar questions in the future. Thank you so much again! I had lots of fun :D

Thank you for the session and taking time to run a diagnostic test and find out what I really wanted to learn. If we could continue going through these problem sets once every week or (if that is too much), once every two weeks, that would be great! I want to try to remember things better, so that's something I really want to work on. Thank you!

Aanvi and Christopher, both of you maintained a highly warm, supportive, and personable environment throughout the session. which is vital for building trust and connection. The session began with casual conversation and compliments (Your voice is really pretty by the way), followed by proper introductions and an icebreaker which is effectively easing tension. You guys also linked the abstract concepts to real-life applications by asking the student to identify real-world situations where patterns are used (budgeting). Most importantly, I liked how you guys connected the lesson to future support, making an explicit and personalized commitment to help with the student's identified challenge (systems of equations/graphing) in a follow-up session: I also have another session and you can join that and then we can talk about that. This professional closing, along with the consistent positive feedback, ensured the student felt supported and encouraged to continue their learning progress. Good job to both of you.

Hansika and Christopher, you two have a good balance as co-hosts. Hansika seems to lead conversation and encourages participation, but whenever she faltered in the instruction--such as when she didn't know how to change the due date on the exit ticket--Christopher was quick to step in and solve the issue. It seems you guys have got it all figured out. Both of you are clearly very knowledgeable about English and SAT questions. Your slide decks are clear and concise, conveying the most important information without getting dogged down by random fluff, and you sprinkled in crucial tips between your explanation. For example, when you told them to never skip the brief in the beginning, you placed a good amount of emphasis on it without going overboard with the details! Good job overall!

Even if we are not actually the main learner in this session, the tutor continues to teach us the persuasive essays, i appreciate this tutor for his commitment to teach the participants in the time given.
