I really appreciate the way you explain concepts clearly and make learning feel less overwhelming. Your support makes a big difference in my confidence and understanding. Thanks again for all your help — it truly means a lot.

I liked how you let the learner take charge of the session by asking them to bring a problem they thought was challenging and then helping them solve it with your knowledge. This increased their engagement in the session, and as a result, also allowed them to share their thinking more. This is one of the most difficult parts of being a tutor, so great job!

The tutor did a really good job, especially since it was a 1-on-1 session. He adapted very well to the learner’s previous knowledge and made sure to build off of what they already knew. When the learner showed signs of struggling—like with the unit circle part—the tutor noticed and stepped in to help explain it in a way that made more sense. He was clearly paying attention and trying to meet the learner where they were at, which made the session feel more personal and supportive.

For the topic of lay the foundation, the tutor did a good job setting things up. He started off by sharing some interesting things about himself, which made the sesion feel really friendly and relaxed right from the beginning. That kind of friendly conversing helped the learners feel more comfortable. On top of that, the tutor clearly knew the material really well. I can see this because he taught it in a way that made sense and showed a strong understanding throughout.

I liked how to continuously asked the learners questions, as well as made sure the learner clarified the question. You also made sure to figure out what the learner knew, and what the learner didn't know.

You strengthened learners' confidence by being patient and encouraging when helping them. You also created a comfortable learning environment by being pleasant and friendly throughout the session. I also liked how you referred to your learner/s by name, since this helps them feel more included in the session and thus lets them gain more from it. Overall, great job, and keep it up, especially for one of your first sessions!

Hey Arvin! It appeared that everything ran smoothly without any technical issues, so great job, especially for one of your first sessions. Also, your explanations were accurate, in-depth, and easy to follow, conveying a deep understanding of the material!

For the topic of engage actively, the tutor really foused and put all of his concentratio in on the one learner that joined the session. He gave them his full attention and made sure they were following along and actually undersanding the material, which was really nice to se. Even though it was just one learner, the tuto didn’t hold back and he stayed engaged the whole time. He also encouraged the learner to explain their thiking, especially when they were talking about trigonometry. That helped the learner think through the concepts more deeply and made the session feel more like a real convrsation, not just a lesson.

You did a fantastic job setting the tone for a learner-centered session. I especially loved how you began by asking the learner what specific topics or questions they wanted to focus on. That extra step not only made the learner feel heard but also ensured the session was tailored to their needs. Your use of pre-questions related to the Unit Circle helped activate prior knowledge and gave you a great starting point to build deeper understanding. I noticed that by the time you got into the main content, the learner was already more engaged and responsive. This intentional structure made the topic much more digestible and supported the learner’s grasp of the material. Well done!
