You didn't flinch when Malaak wanted to show you her way of thinking rather than trying it your way. This allowed her to explain her thinking and guide you in the right direction. Additionally, it would be impossible for Malaak to be doing another activity during the session as she was continuously asking questions, drawing on the screen, and asking follow up questions.

When Malaak could only write in a way that disappeared, you noted that you would write down what she wrote to ensure that the lesson could continue based on the way she learned it in school. When Malaak wasn't understanding how you got some numbers like 2/2, you explained it properly. You also offered to try subtraction as well, which can help Malaak improve her skills. Also, since she only had limited amount of time (~15 minutes), you made sure to adapt the lesson to that time frame.
