You did a great job of keeping the student involved by asking her questions every few seconds. This kept her from becoming a passive listener and made her stay active in the solving process. You also asked her to point out what was different between two equations, which is a good way to build thinking skills. One tip for improvement is to give her more time to speak after you ask a hard question. Sometimes you might provide the answer or a heavy hint a bit too quickly. This gives the student the space they need to find the words to explain their own logic.

You were very ready for this lesson because you had the SAT question bank and the Desmos calculator open and ready to use right away. This made the moves between problems very fast and kept the flow of the session moving well. You also showed that you know the math very well when you explained how the numbers in front of the variables find out the number of solutions in a system. To make this even better, try to have all your browser tabs in one window. This will help you avoid the small stops that happen when you have to stop and start your screen share to show different tools. Keeping the visual aids constant helps the student stay focused on the math instead of the tech.
