About

Hi! I am a student with a strong academic background in math and a strong motivation to help other students succeed. I teach how to use Desmos—a game changer in SAT Math—effectively to solve problems more efficiently. I am genuinely excited to support students in building both accuracy and confidence in math.

Right off the bat, I want to say this is one of the most diverse session I have seen with people from all backgrounds. Good job, Muhammadjon for running the session smoothly. Yes, you were prepared to run the session; you had a whole pdf made titled "Schoolhouse session" :). You also showed an understanding of the material and also great explanation, eg. was the equation relating b,x,and y. My only suggestion for you is that you can make your working space larger by copying the questions and posting the on zoom whiteboards. You can try that and see if it works for you. You did a great job though, Kudos.

You created a comfortable learning environment. At the beginning, you introduced yourself and let every learner did same. That alleviated any anxiety learners had and they all recognized that they had the same goal: to prep for the SAT. You strengthened learners confidence by affirming their answer and and "praising" them for it as you did with the learner that answered on how to solve one question entirely with desmos. You did a great job here.

I do not think I saw any learner showing signs of struggle. I think you did well in that regard. However, I think the session was very fast paced and it would have been difficult for you to identify students with unique needs or struggles. For example, take the question where a learner said x will be 30 and you do not need desmos, because the question appeared easy, you basically rushed through and did not give enough time for students to say whether they got it or not. You then moved on to the question with the r thing :). It will be easier for you to see learners who struggle when you give them ample time for them to say something and also encourage them. Do not let them feel that the question was easy so they should have gotten it. Otherwise, they will not let you know.
