This is a 4-week session for solving how to approach difficult mathematics problems confidently on the SAT. We will have one lesson each week, and each week, we will go over a different math section (Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, Geometry and Trigonometry). This class is for all levels, so no prior knowledge or tools are needed besides a computer! We will go over Bluebook practice examples and learners will have opportunities to engage by asking questions and answering questions.

In this lesson, we will go over the algebra section for the SAT. Most problems can be solved very quickly, but many students only know how to solve problems the "long" way. We will learn how to solve equations very quickly without compromising on understanding. Students will have the opportunity to ask and answer questions to create an engaging learning environment. This lesson will run from 5:00-6:00 pm and no prior experience or materials are needed!

For this session, we will be going over standard English conventions for the SAT. There are many questions dealing with this topic on the SAT, so improving this area could result in a large score leap. I will go over common grammar rules and conventions, and will provide practice problems that we will go over together. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage to gain the practice and confidence for this topic. This session is open to everybody and no extra materials are needed!

Each week, we will go over one topic from the reading and writing section of the SAT. Topics include Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions. One of the biggest challenges for the reading and writing section is time management, so we will try to focus on longer passages in order to make the jump from learning reading skills to implementing them quickly. In each lesson, students can ask questions while we go over practice problems together, and when they are ready, can move on to timed practice problems. There will be 6 lessons total, with each lesson being an hour long (except for test day). This course is open to everybody, as there is no prior knowledge or extra materials required.
