Over this period of time, we will be covering the following: Wk1: Foundations / Pre-Algebra Review Algebraic properties Evaluate expressions and functions Monomial expressions Polynomial expressions and operations Radical expressions Wk2: Expressions & Structure Laws of exponents Basic exponent properties Scientific notation Wk3: Linear Concepts Linear equations with one variable Literal equations Systems of linear equations Linear inequalities Wk4: Functions (Linear First) Identify functions Evaluate functions Domain and range Linear functions Properties of linear functions Solve functions Wk5: Factoring & Quadratics Factor GCF / difference of squares Factor trinomials Solve equations by factoring Quadratic functions Solve quadratic equations Wk6: Exponents & Exponentials Exponential functions Properties of linear and exponential functions Wk7: Sequences & Advanced Topics Sequences Factorials I will be going over the topics above, explaining them thoroughly, and then providing and working through practice problems. I will also be assigning homework, which will be due by the start of the next session!
