Campbell Biology Comprehensive Review Bootcamp
Starts
(AP Biology Foundations and Biology Olympiad Preparation)
This bootcamp is a multi session review series based on Campbell Biology that walks through Units 1 through 8 and builds a strong understanding of biology from the ground up. The focus is on learning how ideas connect and how to think through biology problems instead of memorizing details.
The series is designed for students taking Honors Biology or AP Biology, as well as students who want exposure to biology olympiad style thinking.
Units (and some topics) covered in this series include:
Unit 1 Chemistry of Life:
Atoms, water, macromolecules, enzymes, and amino acids
Unit 2 The Cell:
Cell structure, membranes, transport, cell communication, and the cell cycle
Unit 3 Genetics:
Meiosis, inheritance patterns, DNA, gene expression, and regulation
Unit 4 Mechanisms of Evolution:
Natural selection, genetic drift, gene flow, and population change
Unit 5 The Evolutionary History of Biological Diversity:
Evidence for evolution, phylogenies, and the history of life
Unit 6 Plant Form and Function:
Plant structure, transport, photosynthesis, and plant responses
Unit 7 Animal Form and Function:
Body systems, homeostasis, signaling, and movement
Unit 8 Ecology:
Ecosystems, energy flow, population dynamics, and human impact
Each session is interactive and visual, with practice questions and guided explanations to help students follow along and stay engaged. By the end of the bootcamp, students will have a solid foundation for AP Biology and a clearer idea of how to prepare for biology competitions in the future.
