Pre-Algebra: Foundations of Mathematical Reasoning
This course introduces the fundamental concepts needed for success in algebra and higher-level mathematics. Students develop fluency with arithmetic operations, integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages, while building early algebraic thinking through variables, expressions, equations, and inequalities. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving strategies, logical reasoning, and translating real-world situations into mathematical models. The course strengthens mathematical confidence and prepares students for formal Algebra I.
